Giuseppe Torelli (1658-1709).
Giuseppe Torelli, together with Corelli and Scarlatti, one of the most important italian composers of the second half of the 17th century. Together with Corelli, the most important instrumental composer. Born in Bologna in 1658, Torelli was a musician in the courts of Margrave and Brandenburg-Ansbach, returning to his homeland in 1701. Author of "Concerti Grossi" and instrumental music of great quality, his music is prefect, in the formal aspect, and very creative, perhaps more than Corelli himself, in thematic terms.
